Dryland/Pre-Season

Our first day of pre-season conditioning is Tuesday September 3rd, 2013.  The day after Labor Day.  We will meet in the school weight room at 6:00 AM. 

Athletes must have a code of conduct on file in the athletic office, $20 insurance premium, and a completed physical dated on or after May 1, 2013.

We meet every weekday morning from 6:00-7:00 AM.  Mondays we will meet on the pool deck for dryland. Tuesday and Thursday we will be in the weight room.  Wednesdays and Fridays we will be in the auxiliary gym.

Official Season

Our first official practice is Monday October 28th for girls and Monday November 11th for boys.  All returning swimmers/divers are required to attend AM workouts and PM workouts.  See Table 1 for our practice schedule for a week without competitions.  First year athletes are not required to attend morning workouts except on vacation days and they are required to go to both.  We actually discourage first year athletes from attending morning workouts when school is in session until after Thanksgiving break.  See Table 2 for the first years schedule of practices.

 

Vacation or No-School Days

If there is a scheduled off day from school we will practice from 7:00-9:35 AM and from 3:00-5:05 PM.  If school is canceled, depending on when it is called or how severe the conditions are, we will have an "optional" practice from 3:00-5:35 PM.  During the course of the season we practice every day except Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.  We do have a practice on Christmas Eve from 700-9:30 AM followed by a brunch provided by our swim parents.
